Meet Your Head Coach!

I played four years of lacrosse at James Madison University, a NCAA top 10 Division I program in Harrisonburg, VA. I graduated in 2004, and my love of health, fitness, & sports continued to grow.

When I’m not on the field I teach high school PE, which I absolutely love. I have over 10 years of lacrosse coaching experience and three years experience as a lacrosse referee at both the youth and high school level. I have a graduate degree in education and 12 years of experience in the classroom, predominantly in Special ED working with children on the autism spectrum. I’m a USA Lacrosse Certified Coach, an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, an ACE Certified Youth Fitness Specialist, and a longtime volunteer for multiple organizations that work with youth from various backgrounds. I’m also a committed dog walker at the San Diego Humane Society. If you’re looking for a cute doggo, let me know!

In 2019, I created Girl Squad Fitness, an after school creative fitness & self-love program for girls. Then in July 2020 after quite an unexpected turn of events, San Diego Girls Lacrosse was born.

Movement has brought so much joy into my life, and it's my mission to share this with girls and teens. I’ve made a conscious and intentional decision to run this program in a way that puts each athlete’s mental & emotional health first. Your child’s happiness and well-being is my top priority, & my ultimate reason for this program is to build lifelong lovers of fitness & movement through a positive lacrosse experience. My whole heart goes into this program.

In my free time, you can find me doing anything that involves the water or a fun outdoor activity! I moved to sunny San Diego in 2007.
